Before we started RVing full-time, we had very little RV experience. But that doesn’t mean we didn’t have any! Some friends of ours were going RV camping, so we decided to rent an RV and go with them. We knew nothing about RV camping or renting an RV, but with a little bit of research, we were able to find a good RV rental company and the right camper to meet our needs.

We would be towing the rental camper with our Honda Pilot to Moab, UT for a long weekend spent with a baby and a toddler. We needed something light, easy to tow, that had AC, and was safe and comfortable for the kids. We ended up with a travel trailer that did the job! It was such a memorable vacation. So much fun for the whole family!

As RV travel and vacations become more popular, renting an RV has gotten more convenient. There are a great number of RV rental companies, you can rent any type of RV you can imagine, and RV rentals are available all over the world. Why Rent an RV?

RV rentals offer a unique and enticing way to travel, combining the comforts of home with the thrill of exploration. Here's why opting for an RV rental could be the best choice for your next adventure:

Unmatched Flexibility: RV rentals provide unparalleled freedom to craft your itinerary. Change your plans on a whim, explore hidden gems off the beaten path, and stay longer at places you love without worrying about hotel check-out times.

Cost-Effective Travel: RV rentals can often be more budget-friendly than traditional travel options. With a single rental fee that covers accommodation and transportation, you'll save on hotel costs and dining expenses while enjoying a cozy home on wheels. Save even more money if you rent an RV for a month or longer!

Immersive Experience: Unlike flying from one destination to another, RV travel offers an immersive experience. You'll get to enjoy the journey as much as the destinations, witnessing changing landscapes, quaint towns, and stunning vistas along the way.

Nature Connection: RVing allows you to connect with nature like never before. Wake up to breathtaking views, enjoy campfires under starry skies, and have the great outdoors as your backyard throughout your journey.

Convenience Redefined: An RV is a self-contained unit equipped with essential amenities. Prepare meals in a fully functional kitchen, have your private bathroom facilities, and sleep in the comfort of your own bed, all while on the move.

Travel Companionship: RV travel brings people together. Whether you're with family, friends, or embarking on a solo adventure, the shared experience of RVing creates lasting memories and strengthens bonds.

Exploration Beyond Mainstream Destinations: RVs give you the opportunity to explore off-the-beaten-path locations that might not have traditional accommodations. Discover remote natural wonders and charming towns that would otherwise remain undiscovered.

Customizable Experience: With various RV types available, you can choose the size and style that suits your preferences. From luxurious motorhomes to compact camper vans, there's an RV for every traveler.

Escape the Daily Routine: An RV vacation lets you disconnect from the usual routine. Experience a slower pace of life, savoring the simple pleasures of travel and finding relaxation in the journey itself.

Memories of a Lifetime: RV travel often results in unforgettable memories and stories to share. From campfire tales to encounters with fellow travelers, the experiences gained during an RV rental journey are cherished for years to come.

How Much do RV Rentals cost?

RV rental prices are going to vary greatly depending on the type of rental company you use and the kind of rig you rent. Other variables include the time of year, location, and cost of RV insurance can be a factor. Renting a Class A motorhome in Denver during the summer is going to be much more expensive than renting a Sprinter campervan during the winter in the Midwest. A RV rental in Seattle to explore the Pacific Northwest is going to be priced differently than a camper in Texas. Peer-to-peer RV rental companies are generally going to offer better deals than large corporate companies because each RV owner is setting their price. Want to camp in style? For the right price, you can rent a luxury RV

Are RV Rentals Pet-Friendly?

The best thing about RV vacations is spending time with family. You don’t want to have to split up the family by keeping the dog at home! Like all things with RV rentals, the pet policy will vary depending on who you rent through. If you are using a platform to book directly with an RV owner, they will decide if pets are allowed. If so, there may be an additional pet deposit fee. Cruise America allows dogs and cats in all of their RVs for rent. So, if you want to take Fido along for the ride, you can make it happen!
